Appliance Paint Aerosol

Appliance Paint Aerosol

Preparation

  • Ensure that the surface is cool before and during painting.
  • Clean surface by removing all loose paint and rust, dirt, grease and salt.
  • Remove grease and clean with dilute detergent.
  • Rinse with clean water and allow time to dry.
  • For maximum adhesion on galvanized metal or aluminium surfaces apply Hammerite Special Metals Primer.

Protect aerosol from direct sunlight and do NOT expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C (120°F). Do not pierce or burn, even after use.

Application

  • For best results spray at room temperature (20degC).
  • Shake can vigorously for 2-3 minutes before use. This is essential to ensure an even finish.
  • Several thin coats should be applied at 15 minute intervals. Hold the can approximately 20-25cms away from the surface and move in a sweeping motion. Ensure the can is parallel to the surface at all times.

Touch dry in 15 minutes. Recoat after 15 minutes. Allow painted surfaces to dry thoroughly for 24 hours before use. Drying times will be extended at low temperatures.
